Apply for permit to remove tree from County right-of-way

A Tree Removal Permit is required to remove any tree from the County right-of-way, in accordance with County Ordinance Code Division C16 Tree Preservation and Removal (“Tree Ordinance”) and the Roads and Airports tree protection resolution of 1992 (“Tree Resolution”). The Tree Resolution requires 60 days-notice to the Board of Supervisors prior to the removal of trees. The definition of "removal" in the Tree Ordinance is broad, and includes practices such as topping, adverse pruning, and "diminishing the vigor of or destroying a tree.
