Project description
The project provides pavement rehabilitation and related improvements. Work will include:
- Cold in-place recycling existing pavement; hot mix asphalt (HMA) overlay
- Repairing sidewalk and curb & gutter
- Upgrading existing pedestrian curb ramps to comply with current Americans with Disability Act (ADA) standards
- Adjusting existing manholes/monuments/utilities to new grade
- Installing new inductive loops for vehicles and bicycles
- Modifying traffic signals which will include, installing traffic signal controller and service cabinet, replacing battery back up system, installing pedestrian sensors, upgrading pedestrian push buttons, and installing fiber optic cable
- Installing new pavement striping and markings
- Removing and installing roadside signs
- Upgrading roadside safety barriers to current standards
- Treating bridge deck with methacylate resin and polyester concrete overlay, and
- Other details of work not mentioned above that are required by the Project Plans and Special Provisions.
Project schedule
- Project advertisement: May 8, 2024
- Bid opening: May 30, 2024
- Bid award: June 18, 2024
Construction schedule: September 3, 2024 to Spring 2025.
Project status update: February 3 to February 15, 2025.
- Remove and install guardrails
- Install concrete barriers
- Move K-rail
- Signal shutdown for new wiring installation at Moorpark/Bollinger on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
